Case study: Save a Playa
AI sales agent for WhatsApp
Revive sells inside the conversation and hands off to a person when it should. At Save a Playa it converts 19.2% of leads, against an industry 3 to 7%, and handles three in four conversations with no human involved.
The challenge
3 to 7%
is what a WhatsApp campaign converts in e-commerce. A beauty and personal care website converts 5.39% of its visitors.

Beat the industry’s conversion rate, and not by a little.
Save a Playa pays for every lead, and most of them ask one question, get one answer, and go quiet, because the team is busy answering the new ones.
The brief to Ozone was not a chatbot. Answer every conversation the moment it arrives, sell inside it instead of handing out a link, keep a human within reach, and go back to the leads that went quiet before they are lost for good. That became Revive.
Results
Nearly three times the top of the industry’s range.
Of leads went on to buy
19.2%
Against an industry 3 to 7%. Of the 2,232 leads who wrote in, 429 have bought.
Of leads who held a conversation bought
27.5%
A conversation is 2 or more messages from the lead.
Of quiet leads replied
21%
747 of 3,532 re-engagement messages, all time. 205 bought in the last 30 days.
Handled with no human involved
76%
The rest had one operator per shift step in.
What we built
Six things the platform does, each one measured on the live deployment.
Node.js and Express on the WhatsApp Business API and the store’s WooCommerce orders, with the Claude API doing the talking. One deployment per client, its own database, nothing shared.
Sells inside the conversation, on the Claude API.
Quotes prices, handles objections, reads a payment screenshot, and knows when to hand off to the operator on shift. Its instructions are a document the team edits, not code.
Brings back the leads that went quiet.
A lead who stopped replying gets a message written for them inside WhatsApp's 24-hour window, and pre-approved templates once it closes. Never overnight, never more than once a week, every send capped.
Lists every engaged lead who never bought.
Everyone who held a real conversation and has no order on record, by the week or month they arrived. Tick them and tag them in WATI in one action, or export the selection as a Meta custom audience.
Return on ad spend from real orders, per campaign and per creative.
The purchase webhook ties each order to its conversation, and the ad's opening message ties that conversation to the campaign. ROAS is what each campaign and creative cost against what its own leads actually paid.
A dashboard that prints its own caveats.
New leads, engagement, conversion by cohort, reply rate and sales by hour of day. Every figure comes with its definition, and the page ends with what the numbers can and cannot tell you.
A coach that proposes, a person who decides.
Once a week, the platform compares the conversations that ended in an order with the ones that did not, and writes a proposal to the agent's instructions. A human reviews it and applies what holds up.
See it on a real store first.
Save a Playa: brand, WooCommerce store, 205,000+ orders, and the deployment every figure on this page comes from.
What it means for you
Hire the developer, and the platforms come with an open license.
In the agentic era e-commerce companies need a solution tailored to their own store to get ahead of the industry’s average metrics, not another tool with the same defaults as everyone else.
Full-time developer
$3,900
160 hours a month, month to month
One senior full-stack developer, exclusively yours, on US time.
An open license to all three platforms: Revive, Second Order and ROAS Link. Source code, database schema, agent instructions and prompts, yours to change while the seat runs.
Shaped to your catalogue, your objections and your ad account.
Part-time developer
From $2,500
80 hours a month, month to month
One senior full-stack developer, on your hours, on US time.
An open license to one platform of your choice, with the same terms.
The right seat for a store that wants one of the three running well before adding the rest.
Keep it after the seat
$900
a month, flat
The Revive core with its updates, and every customization made for your store, kept running on our server or yours. Support by ticket, answered within 24 hours. No development hours; when you need them, $60 an hour. Month to month.
Both seats: one month minimum, paid in advance via PayPal or Payoneer, no recruiting fees, cancel any time after the first month.

Getting started
Your engineer starts from a running platform, not a blank repository.
Your engineer operates as an extension of your team, tailoring any required functionality on the fly through their Slack rotation.
Week one
We integrate the WhatsApp Business API provider with your store's purchase webhook, upload your catalog and pricing, and run all necessary tests with the customer support team to ensure everything works as expected.
Week two
Sales scripts are drafted based on actual objections in a document your team can edit, rather than in code, and initial conversations take place under the constant supervision of an operator.
Week three onward
The engineer configures advanced functions to match specific requirements, incorporating self-learning through skill updates, the recovery of inactive leads, or the creation of bespoke drip campaigns for each potential client.
Questions
WhatsApp lead recovery, explained.
Does 19.2% mean one in five people who write to us will buy?
At Save a Playa, of the 2,232 leads who first wrote in between 19 August and 18 September 2026, 429 have bought since. It is measured by cohort, counting people rather than orders. It is one store’s result, dated, not a guarantee for yours.
Is our WhatsApp volume enough for this to make sense?
Every figure on this page comes from a store that gets 74 new leads a day and pays for each one. The platform earns its seat by answering all of them the moment they arrive and going back to the ones that went quiet. With a handful of conversations a day, a person can do both. If your team is not already answering WhatsApp every day, or your leads cost you nothing, start somewhere else. If you are not sure which side you are on, book the call and we will tell you.
What happens once WhatsApp's 24-hour window closes?
WhatsApp only allows pre-approved message templates, so the sequence switches to those. It cannot reach anyone at any time, and we will not tell you that it can. Every send is capped and can be switched off.
What language does the agent write in?
Your customers’ language. The platform ships in English and Spanish.
What do we need on our side, and does it have to be WooCommerce?
Three things. A WhatsApp Business API account with a provider: Save a Playa runs on WATI, and we set one up if you have none. A store that can send an order webhook; Revive ships on WooCommerce’s. And one person on your team who answers WhatsApp today and can sit beside the agent through week two. If your store is on Shopify, wiring its order webhook is the developer’s first task and adds time to week one.
Can we license Revive without hiring a developer?
No. There is no SaaS tier and the platform is not sold on its own. The 19.2% on this page did not come from defaults. It came from a developer shaping the agent to one store’s catalogue, objections, payment methods and hours, and reading its conversations every week since. A tool with the same defaults as everyone else gets the industry’s 3 to 7%. The seat is the shaping; the license is what the seat comes with.
Is the seat price the whole cost?
The seat is the developer’s hours: $3,900 for 160 a month, or from $2,500 for 80, month to month, no recruiting fees. The server your deployment runs on is included. Two things are not, and sit on your own accounts in your name: your WhatsApp Business API provider, and the Claude API. Every message the agent writes runs on your own key, billed by Anthropic to you. Keeping them in your name means your conversations and your spend never pass through ours.
What does the open license cover, and what happens when the seat ends?
While the seat runs, you hold the source, the database schema and the agent’s instructions, and your team can change any of them. If you end the seat, you keep everything: the core of Revive and every customization made for your store stay in your deployment, running where they are. Keeping it running is a flat $900 a month, month to month, covering the codebase with its updates, the server, and support by ticket within 24 hours. It includes no development hours; those are $60 an hour when you need them. Past about 26 hours a month the part-time seat is cheaper, and the license folds back into it.
Which platform should we start from?
Book a call and we will tell you which seat and which platform fit, or that none applies.
In the agentic era, the industry average is the floor.
E-commerce companies need a solution tailored to their own store to get ahead of the industry’s average metrics, not another tool with the same defaults as everyone else.
Part time from $2,500 a month (80 hours, one platform of your choice) or full time at $3,900 (160 hours, all three platforms), on US time, month to month, no recruiting fees.
